Signature blend of essential oils
Amy, the owner of Mooeys, has always wanted a signature blend of essential oils. Something that reminds you of summertime and English gardens, this is the Mooeys vibe. And she really wanted to replicate that in the blend that is used in her products. With this in mind, she spent some time with an incredible aromatherapist, who helped her find the blend of oils that would deliver the scent she wanted, but with the properties needed.
As the products are for intimate use, preggo clients or clients with sensitive skin, it was really important that the blend she created was suitable for all to use. She didn’t want anything artificial or fragranced. Instead, she wanted something as natural as possible – which is a very unique concept within the waxing world, where products tend to be cheap and cheerful with very little properties derived from essential oils.
So, here we have the essential oils you will find in our blend (and why we use them). We hope you love them as much as we do.
High-Altitude Lavender
(Lavandula angustifolia)
the mother of all oils!
Properties: analgesic, antidepressant, antiseptic, cicatrisant (healing), cytophylactic (soothing of the skin after heat treatments), deodorising and antifungal.
Neroli
(Citrus aurantium var. amara flos.)
the perfect perfume
Properties: anti-inflammatory, antidepressant, cicatrisant (healing), cytophylactic (soothing of the skin after heat treatments) and nervine (helps to calm the nerves).
Palmarosa
(Cymbopogon martini var. martini)
the all-round healer
Properties: antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antiviral, astringent, bactericidal, calmative, cicatrisant (healing), cytophylactic (soothing of the skin after heat treatments) and hydrating.
Rose Geranium
(Pelagonium Roseum)
the ultimate skin soother
Properties: antiallergic, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antiviral, astringent, bactericidal and cicatrisant (healing).
Spearmint
(Menta spicata)
naturally cooling and antiseptic
Properties: analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antiviral, astringent, deodorant and nervine (helps to calm the nerves).
All the properties in our Moo Essential® blend have a purpose to heal, soothe and desensitise, as well as to repair, restore and protect your skin. It definitely isn’t the cheapest waxing product range out there – but we guarantee it is a great product to use, and the benefits your clients get are incredible!
